ASHWAUBENON – More than a week after the death of Naomi Judd, the status of The Judds’ fall tour, including a stop at the Resch Center, remains unclear.
The mother-daughter country duo of Naomi and Wynonna Judd was to launch its 10-city Final Tour Sept. 30 and make a stop Oct. 8 at the Resch.
People magazine, citing an unnamed source, reported the family was meeting last week “to talk about the state of the upcoming tour to see how and if it can proceed in an obviously different incarnation. They want to be respectful and representative of their legacy, but more importantly as to what Naomi would have wanted for her family and fans.”
Naomi Judd died on April 30 at age 76. “We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness,” her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley Judd, said in a joint statement.
The Resch Center has not yet received an update on the tour, said Terry Charles, senior manager of corporate communications for PMI Entertainment Group, which manages the Resch Complex.
“We are waiting for a word from the family/tour on a statement or direction,” he said.

Charles said PMI has had inquiries about ticket refunds for the Resch concert. Refunds are controlled by the tour, he said, and PMI remains in a holding pattern pending updates or instructions.
The tour, which was announced April 11, remains listed on the Resch Complex’s ticketing website, Ticket Star, and on The Judds official website, which shows concerts in Durant, Oklahoma; Fort Worth, Texas; and Nashville, Tennessee, as sellouts.
Martina McBride, who has headlined the Resch Center numerous times, is a special guest for The Final Tour. It was to be The Judds’ first concert at the arena since the Last Encore Tour 12 years ago.
