Country Music Fans Slam the CMA Fest After the 2022 Lineup Was Revealed

The CMA Fest is one of the biggest events in the country music industry. Fans look forward to the four-day music festival every June as it brings out the best of the best performers. And this year, it’s no different.

The Country Music Association announced the 2022 lineup on Instagram and it is jammed packed with big-named celebrities such as: Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini, Jason Aldean, and so many more. And while most fans were thrilled with the list — with some calling it “the ultimate” show — others were a bit disappointed by those who didn’t make the cut.

Particularly, folks took to Instagram to ask about Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert and Walker Hayes. “So disappointed by no @ericchurchmusic,” one person wrote in the caption. “Missing some really amazing singers this year,” said another. “Why not @walkerhayes?” some else asked.

But fans shouldn’t feel slighted that a few country music icons aren’t going to perform at the Nashville event, as it likely has to do with scheduling conflicts. For instance, when the CMA Fest takes place in June (from the 9-12) Miranda will be performing with Little Big Town on their The Bandwagon Tour. While Walker will be gearing up for the Barefoot Country Music Fest, which takes place June 16-19.

So, while it’s a bit of a bummer that we won’t see all of our favorites together during the CMA Fest, at least they will still be out there touring. And, of course, there’s always next year!
