Are Bucks getting too many points vs. Celtic?

There is a lot of money on the underdog in Wednesday night’s Game 5 showdown between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

The series is back in Boston and tied at 2-2. The Celtics, fresh off a come-from-behind Game 4 win in Milwaukee, are favored by 5.5 points at BetMGM. It’s the biggest point spread of the series so far and bettors are largely siding with the underdog.

According to BetMGM, 66% of the bets and 70% of the money is on the Bucks +5.5.

The Bucks won Game 1 outright as five-point underdogs in Boston but the Celtics have covered the spread in the last three games of the series. Boston won 109-86 as a four-point favorite in Game 2, covered the spread by a half-point in a Game 3 loss and then won Game 4 by an eight-point margin as a 1.5-point underdog.

The Celtics are 18-23-1 ATS as home favorites this season while the Bucks are 5-10 ATS as road underdogs this season.

The total for Game 5 is listed at 214.5 at BetMGM. Most of the bets (71%) are on the under, but the money is pretty even — 52% on the under, 48% on the over. The first three games of the series went under the total before the over hit in Game 4.

With Ja Morant sidelined, things are looking rather bleak for the Memphis Grizzlies against the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors, with a 3-1 series edge, can win the series Wednesday night in Memphis. The Warriors opened as 3.5-point favorites but that number has since moved to Warriors -4.5. According to BetMGM, 78% of the bets and 85% of the money for Game 5 is on the Warriors covering the spread. Despite the 3-1 series lead, the Warriors are just 1-3 ATS against Memphis. The Warriors were 9.5-point favorites at home for Game 4 but had to scratch out a 101-98 victory.

The Grizzlies are 9-3 ATS and 8-4 straight-up this season as a home underdog. With their season on the line, can they pull off an upset?

In addition to siding with the Warriors, most of the action on the total is on the under. According to BetMGM, 68% of the bets and 8-% of the money is on the under 218.5. Through four games, the results have been split with two games (1 and 3) going over the total and two games (2 and 4) going under.
