Milan could evaluate signing of former winger amid reduced price tag

Ahead of the upcoming season, AC Milan are expected to bring in a right-winger and perhaps even a player for the No.10 role. Gerard Deulofeu, their former winger, has been mentioned as an option.

The Spaniard currently plays for Udinese and this season, he has registered 12 goals and 4 assists. Impressive numbers considering the Friuli side’s position in the standings (12th place), attracting the interest of a few bigger clubs.

Deulofeu obviously played for Milan during the 2016/17 season and according to Carlo Pellegatti, as cited by MilanNews, the Rossoneri could evaluate a move for him. In fact, his price tag has reduced significantly from last summer as he wants to leave and Udinese want to make money.

Udinese are likely to ask for €15m, per the journalist, and they could even accept a loan with an obligation to buy. Milan aren’t interested as things stand, but they could evaluate a move with interest as Deulofeu knows the Rossoneri environment well.

Furthermore, he’s very versatile as he can play everywhere in attack and that’s obviously something that could come in handy for Stefano Pioli.
