Oscar Award-winning visual effects artist Phil Tippett (Star Wars, Starship Troopers) has completed his stop-motion epic Mad Godand it’s coming to shudder next month.
30 years in the making, Mad God debuts on Shudder June 16and the official trailer is here to give us but a small taste of the stop motion mayhem on display in this one.

“In Mad Goda corroded diving bell descends amidst a ruined city, with an Assassin emerging from it to explore a labyrinth of bizarre landscapes inhabited by freakish denizens.”
The stop-motion animation wizard first began the project after completing work on Robocop 2 before putting it on pause to create dinosaur effects for jurassic-park. After twenty years, the artist returned to the project once more, releasing it in the form of small shorts between 2014 and 2018. Tippett also gave behind the scenes clips of her work on her YouTube channel.
