Kanye West compared an outfit his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, wore to the Wall Street Journal Innovative Awards to something cartoon character Marge Simpson would wear.
On the latest episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” Kim tells her sister Kourtney Kardashian that she reached a point in their marriage where she regularly asked West’s opinion of her outfits, often feeling anxious if he didn’t. I approved of it.
“I got to a point where I was asking him for advice on everything, even what I wear. Even now I’m having panic attacks, what do I wear? the founder of Skims told his older sister.
He went on to say that he designed her for his October 2021 appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” but later chose his own outfit.
“Were you nervous?” Kourtney chimed in to ask, and Kim responded, “So nervous. Oh, and then she called me after. She told me my career was over and then she showed me a picture of Marge Simpson wearing something similar.”
The ‘fit’ in question was a leather dress from her Skims line in collaboration with Fendi, in which she nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction, as the dress came undone at the back, from the bottom of the dressed up, as he stood up to accept the award.
The mother-of-four also opened up about West’s refusal to sign divorce papers at the time, telling Kourtney, “I don’t know, I ask him all the time. He says he will and then says, ‘Well, no. I want to get a divorce, so I’m not going to sign them.
She added during the confessional: “I’m always very protective of Kanye and I don’t share a lot of the negative things that have happened just because he’s not here doing the show. Also if I do something on a reality show then that’s how dare she talk about it and then he can do it in a song and that’s so creative and expressive. It’s always like two different sides are expressing themselves in two different ways and one is respected and the other is not.”
Now, Kim is the one playing the fashion police, as she recently came under fire for telling her current boyfriend, Pete Davidson, to take off his hat as they prepared for the 2022 Met Gala.
