People have been saying “The Sandman is back” for a few years now. It happens every time he does a drama. After the success of uncut gems Y Meyerowitz storiesAdam Sandler is putting on his dramatic acting mask with a frown one more time in Hustlea sports drama for Netflix.
The new trailer, released today, puts Sandler in the middle of a blue chipsstyle drama about the ins and outs of basketball. Sandler seems locked in serious mode, evoking something of that Ben Affleck in The way back energy, as a scout for the Philadelphia 76ers who travels the world in hopes of finding a player who is taller than 6 feet 5 inches and can save the team.

Stanley Sugerman’s (Adam Sandler) love for basketball is unparalleled, but the travel-weary Philadelphia 76ers scout with bigger coaching ambitions remains stuck on the road in search of the next unknown talent. His search around the world takes him to Spain, where he discovers Bo Cruz (Juancho Hernangómez, NBA player), an incredible streetball player with a troubled past. Stanley and Bo connect on and off the court, with their passion for the game and as loving family men who want to prove they can win, in basketball and in life.
Produced by Sandler and LeBron James, Hustle stars Queen Latifah as Stanley’s wife, Ben Foster, Robert Duvall, Kenny Smith, Anthony Edwards and Tobias Harris. They even got Jaleel White into this.
Despite all the problems in the streamer, netflix remains in Sandler’s business. Netflix released a lot of Happy Madison movies in recent years, including Halloween, murder mysteryY the ridiculous 6. Hustle It will be Happy Madison’s first drama as funny people. The newest release from Happy Madison, the Kevin James vehicle Local teamit came out in January 2022 and has since been buried in Netflix’s massive content dump.
